OSD Displays AMOLED Symposium at CES 2009

OSD Displays (OSD) - Winter Park, FL. OSD displays has just completed a joint-hosted symposium event in Las Vegas Nevada during CES for new AMOLED technology. Major customers and interested parties in AMOLED technology attended the discussion which included topics of AMOLED's current status and future. Speakers included OSD's president and CEO, Khaled R. Khuda. He briefly discussed the current market demands of AMOLED and some of the expectations for 2009 and beyond. His comments also divulged that major tier customers have expressed significant interest into implementation of AMOLED in the last 12 months. These customers have found advantages in the performance and can now justify usage of the newer AMOLED technology over TFT as costs have began normalization. AMOLED has significant advantages in reducing thickness and weight, virtually eliminating viewing angles, improving contrast ratios and color saturation. Applications have also found advantages in AMOLED technology due to the solid state performance and independence from contrast and frame rate depreciation with temperature.

Recent developments at CES 2009 also showed 3 major TV makers with debut of AMOLED TV products. This increased exposure is leading to demand and familiarity in a variety of TV and monitor applications. OSD's CEO also commented on the recent drive in interest to implement AMOLED technology and attributed the TV applications as a factor. He also felt the event in Las Vegas was a win-win for customers and OSD alike to introduce and address questions from various end-customers about the technology.

The session ended with a technical question and answered hosted by the Taiwan factory's best R&D managers leading the OSD FAE team.

OSD Displays Estimates 2008 Sales Increase.

OSD Displays (OSD) - Winter Park, FL. OSD's estimated sales forecast for 2008 was released today on a conference call and presentation to investors. Estimates show that company's growth in 2007 was just the beginning of positive results for investors. Major contributing factors in OSD's aggressive sales strategies for 2008 include a new variety offering including cost-improved TFT displays, new full color AMOLED displays ranging from 2.0" to 4.3", and OLED display solutions of industry defined designs. Sales projections for 2008 are based on YTD 2007 performance with projections of current demand upon new product offerings resulting in 2008. 2008 sales projections were increased to 100% growth rate up from previous investor projections of 60-70% growth.

OSD Displays will discontinue its Large Molecule Organic LED module product line.

OSD has been manufacturing and marketing Large Molecule passive matrix OLED products since 2003. These popular products have been designed into communication systems, industrial control systems and many types of consumer electronics. So, it is with great regret that OSD has announced it is withdrawing its entire PLED module line from the marketplace.

Recently several of the world's largest PLED panel manufacturers have announced their withdrawal from PLED production because of financial reasons. The withdrawal of these suppliers will have a direct effect on the availability of critical components that sustain OSD's PLED module production.

OSD will continue to supply products to our valued customers and will have product to fill all outstanding open orders. OSD will also accept new orders from customers until August 15, 2007.

OSD will continue to offer an extensive line of TFT, Small Molecule OLED and monochrome LCD display modules.

Digital Displays and OSD Displays (OSD) set to conquer UK market.

Digital Displays is proud to announce that it has entered into agreement with OSD Displays (OSD) to offer the OSD line of OLED and TFT display modules to the UK market.

OSD OLED display modules provide industry compatible modules in the following configurations: Monochrome blue/yellow with grayscale up to 3.12 inches with a resolution of 256x64 pixels. Blue single colour from 0.66 inch to 1.11 inch diagonal, three/four area colour with resolutions from 96x39 to 132x64 pixels and full (65/262k) colour up to 1.5 inches with a resolution of 128x128 pixels.

All the OLED modules feature low power consumption, wide viewing angle, high contrast and with their bright emissive displays are suitable for use in applications including, handheld instruments, medical equipment, measuring devices and consumer products.

An extensive range of TFT displays from 1.5 inch to 10.2 inches in resolutions from QCIF to SXGA are offered as standard, with both transflective and transmissive modes available on selected modules, four wire resistive touch screens are also provided.

So far the main success and focus of OSD Displays has been in the North American market. The company is now ready for overseas expansion and has been looking for the right partner to conquer the European market.
